Cleft Lip & Palate Surgery
Congenital split in lip or palate is a common anomaly seen in new born babies.
It may or may not be associated with other abnormalities. This congenital anomaly may interfere with normal breathing, feeding or speech of child. This is correctable with surgery.
Lip correction is usually done at 3 months and palate is done at 12 months, provided the child is well built by that time.
